Donkey Toy 1

There is more satisfaction in the production of art than in the production of money. Money is a fine thing, but it doesn't give life meaning. Art, on the other hand, even if it is something as silly as the painting of a toy, brings great satisfaction. But the question comes that baffles the critic and the producer, is it art. I took a picture of a toy and painted it. Is that art? Does there have to be a meaning behind it? And if there is a meaning, isn't it up to the viewer to draw that out? I am not interested in a statement. It raises the question of what is more important, the intention or the execution of a piece. I am thinking it's all in the execution. I don't care what the intention was, but what the result is. We just see the result. Is it well crafted? Does it make sense? Does it bring out an emotion of some kind? That's what interests me. More to come...
